July 6: And we're off!

After spending the day doing last minute errands, housecleaning and packing, Howard and Janet took us to the airport in Calgary for our evening departure. We successfully traveled with carry-on packs only; considering we are away for a whole month, this represented a new record in thrifty packing for our family! We flew direct from Calgary to London Heathrow on the slick Dreamliner.

For in-flight entertainment, Reid, Thane and Luke watched "The Batman", Faith watched "Space Jam 2" and "Turning Red", and Beth watched "King Richard".
